Tour Overview

Searching for perfect domestic wine, mussels and oysters?

Let us take you 50 kilometers north outside of Dubrovnik to witness ancient walls of Ston and pure natural beauty of Pelješac Peninsula. It has been well-known for its mussel and oysters growing farms since Roman times. It is a small town with the longest stone wall in Europe (5,5km) with narrow quiet streets and noble old houses with traces of ancient cultures.

Ston was a major fort of the Ragusan Republic whose defensive walls were regarded as a notable feat of medieval architecture. The end of the Bay of Mali Ston is notable for its mariculture. Its former value as a „salt city“ gets confirmed even today in the plants of the oldest active salt-works in the world. Since ancient times, the Pelješac peninsula has been adorned with grape vine plantations and wine production. Wine production has a long tradition in this area and it is one of the most important commercial activities.
